SOLYD Property Developers is one of Portugal’s leading real estate developers, resulting from the partnership between Estoril Capital Partners and Oaktree Capital Management’s European Principal Group.

SOLYD is focused primarily on distinctive residential projects (mid to high-end segments), located in historical and quality urban areas, in major Portuguese cities, namely in Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

Since mid-2015, SOLYD has acquired and been developing over 50 buildings/plots located in Lisbon, Cascais, Oeiras, Setúbal and Loures municipalities representing a global investment of more than EUR 1.050 millions.

The projects correspond to around 3,100 residences (which 1,250 are already sold) and more than 60 stores. These milestones contributed to make SOLYD one of the most active and dynamic real estate development platforms in the Portuguese market in just 9 years.

Estoril Capital Partners is an independent investment advisory company, incorporated in July 2014, formed by experienced Portuguese investment managers and real estate industry experts. The managing partners have combined in-depth investment experience in the real estate, infrastructure, transportation, leisure, energy, agriculture, healthcare and financial services sectors and an extensive track record both domestically and globally.

The company has an exclusive partnership with funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P.’s (“Oaktree”) European Principal Group, with the aim of building a leading investment platform in Portugal across different instruments (equity, debt) and sectors, including real estate, financial services and non-financial businesses.

Oaktree is a leader among global investment managers specializing in alternative investments. It established the European Principal Group in 2006 to pursue private equity investments and direct lending through platforms across a wide range of industries in Europe. Specifically, Oaktree’s European Principal Group has extensive experience in creating a number of operational real estate platforms, namely in student housing, retirement housing, serviced apartments, residential development, residential development lending, office developments and retail parks.

The combined local expertise of the Portuguese investment team and Oaktree’s global investment franchise aims to establish one of the leading investors in Portugal.
